This is the home of Glass Ceiling PR and Grass Ceiling Production -the former a highly effective, small and very independent PR company, the latter, a highly effective, small and very independent events company. Both are run by Harriet Simms.
Over the past 20 years, Glass Ceiling PR is perhaps best known for work helping to resurrect interest in British Folk and Acoustic music, but the company is also proud to have worked with artists from around the globe and across a range of genres.
For the past 10 years, Glass Ceiling PR's interests and client base has become focused on performance and recording with a strong environmental emphasis. This has involved work with the RSPB, as well as a variety of projects with pioneering outdoor event organisers, The Nest Collective (including their acclaimed 'Singing with Nightingales' series and special collaboration with Extinction Rebellion, 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square') and Oxford's ancient Wytham Woods.
Recent clients of Glass Ceiling PR include :
'The Lost Words:Spell Songs', a cd and UK tour (inspired by Robert Macfarlane & Jackie Morris' book, The Lost Words)
Musician, author and environmental campaigner, Sam Lee.
The (truly) legendary singer and activist, Peggy Seeger.
The extraordinary musical world of looper and producer, Cosmo Sheldrake ('Wake Up Calls' and underwater adventure, 'Wild Wet World' albums, plus 'Eye to the Ear')
Matthew Bannister's award-winning 'Folk on Foot' podcast series (which raised over £250,000 for Help Musicians during the pandemic).
Latest Glass Ceiling PR projects include the 'Wild Isles Live' tour, inspired by the BBC TV series, with previously unseen footage on the big screen and key people who made this iconic programme. Taking place in May 2024, 'Wild Isles Live' tour features Alastair Fothergill and is supported by the RSPB, WWF-UK and the National Trust (www.wildisleslive.org).
Grass Ceiling Productions is soon to launch a unique, small scale outdoor arts experience called 'Canopy'. New details to be announced in 2024!
